    3. Dear Peter Is this the Joan Kavanagh,( ex Wicklow Heritage ) now in Housing in Bray- who took many photo's of my mother, and her artifacts, given to her by her great grandmother, and Joan promised to send my mother these photos, yes indeed she did and now my mother has gone to her grave wondering why she never received them---------perhaps you may be able to ask her where they are. It will be two hundred years on 15 February 2006 since the "Tellicherry" arrived at Port Jackson in the colony of New South Wales. Jennifer Killen (Hugh Vesty Byrne) is the contact person in Sydney. Her details are phone 95197724 or email address of jk@zeta.org.au Amongst the transportees were the rebel remnants of the 1798 Irish Rebellion & Robert Emmet's 1803 Rebellion. The likes of Michael Dwyer, John Mernagh, Hugh Vesty Byrne, Arthur Devlin & Martin Burke from the Wicklow Mountains arrived on the "Tellicherry". Dr Ruán O'Donell is organising a function in Wicklow while descendants of Hugh Vesty Byrne namely, Margaret Killen & Margaret Tucker from Tasmania will make the trip to Sydney. Joan Kavanagh from Wicklow together with the soon-to-be Dr, Ms Perry McIntyre Vice president of SAG in Sydney will also be in attendance. Unfortunately Brigadier Stan L Devlin who wrote the book, "Multiple Stains The Story of the Devlin and Associated Families in Australia" is still suffering from the after-affects of a major operation & can't be present but other family members will be. Members of the Catholic Historical Society & the Irish National Association will be there.
