    1. Re: IRL-WICKLOW-To Dave Griffiths
    2. Dear Dave.... I roared laughing when you wrote the two Rathdrum families were not related, according to a member of the other family. My mother was a Weadick, born in Arklow, where the largest concentration of Weadicks lived. There are several branches of the Weadick lines and ALL of them were related, if one goes back far enough....all except ours! All I've ever heard from my mother and her 8 brothers and sisters was, "But they aren't OUR Weadicks". My maternal Grandmother was a Mooty, a name that Cara also claims, and a name that is now extinct. Everyone of my Uncles and Aunts and my mother always said they were the only Mooty family in Arklow. However, there were two Mooty familes in Arklow, all born at the same time, with the same names. There had to have been brothers with a common parentage, but it was before 1818, when the Arklow R.C. Church records started. Because of all that, I harvest any surname I am searching, and tuck them away in my files. It's how I found the other Mooty line. Good hunting, Peggy Leonard
