Hi Terry... I don't know if there is any connection, but I have four Baptismal records for children of a Luke Traynor and Esther Kirwan, living first in Rossahane for the first two Baptisms, then Aughrim for the next two children, all Baptized in Co. Wicklow, Parish of Rathdrum. (Microfilm # 6476 - NLI) 1844 - Hugh - Sponsors: James and Sarah Kirwan 1847 - Patrick - Sponsors: Patrick Traynor and Margaret Dunn 1849 - Jane - Sponsors: Patrick Stanley and Ellen Dunn 1852 - Mary - Sponsors: John Traynor and Esther Nolan Store them away.....they might be helpful sometime. Peggy Leonard/NYC
Thanks Peggy, The connections are mostly good and I can connect most of them (except Hugh) through South Australian records. The consistency of your records strongly suggests Hugh shoud be in the family as well. Luke and Esther had another child, Ann, born in Wicklow abt 1844, who sadly died in infancy of measles during the family's voyage to Australia in that same year. I shall light a candle for you!
