Actually, there are 8 townlands in Ireland with Mullaghmore in the name. I would guess that you used the www.seanruad.com search engine for the townland. If you had selected "Anywhere in field" rather than "Must match exactly" for your search criterion, you would have seen the other four Mullaghroes - which include North and South versions in Co. Cork as well as Mullaghroe Lower and Mullaghroe Upper in Co. Kildare..... which are yours. The adjacent Mullaghroe townlands in Kildare are a couple of miles north of Monasterevin, along the Grand Canal and the R 414 regional road between Monasterevin and Rathangan towns. This places the Mullaghroes about 15.miles NW of Moone and Timolin. Not exactly "next door", but not in Co. Mayo , either !!! .............................................................................. ... Pete Schermerhorn, in the glorious Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts
