Everytime I am absent from here, and I have been off ( doing secret woman's business) but I have a smile back on my face been through a rough week here. I return to find that the mails have grown in numbers, and I was surprised to find it was the Wicklow mall that had growns, well first of all John thankyou for the remarks you made for me and on behalf of me- and especially about, myeslf being a girl, ( I am glad you cannot see the aulde one here <smiles>) Thank you for the prose Daz never lose your sense of humour, as the world would be a sadder place without humour.And very much bluer, and of course it would be a lost cause if there was scant else to enjoy. Now this mail has generated me a heap of mails, into my letter box, and I thank all those that have taken the time to remind of why they are happy that I admin this list, and there has been times in the last few weeks, where I was ready to give it all away and do nothing. Now I think from having read all these mails *THAT SHOW ON THE FRONT OF THE LIST* I am not going to comment on the private ones, there is indeed a lesson to be learnt here. To be a good list one must be able to post what data that they have, to the list itself, this in turns makes my life easier as those who are researching same name ancestors then connect.And I mean down the front of the list, there is nothing more annoying than spending hours doing a name search for a lister to find that someone else in their goodness has done it and sent it to them off list. If you must answer off list I suggest you take up the South Australian lists idea and write on the listers mail *Answered off List* then everyone knows, that at least someone has made contact with the person. This is not a secret society where, one must, do everything in a clandestine way, it is a list with its main aim of sharing information, after all, if you joined the list you didnt join it to be a *sleeper* you joined it to get information about Wicklow, some of you are on the list, because you just love the County itself, but yet again those of you who are listers not doing family name searches all have input to place on the list.Because if you love the place, you have seen it and I guess you have indeed something on a travel brochure anyway that you could share. I am not going to say who is right and who is wrong in this debate, but I will say that both men are entitled to their own opinions and must decide that between themselves now, because it is now an off topic, and I am hoping that everyone involved, has realised that mail sent behind a list do nothing but cause problems, comments are allowed, but lets step back into the family researching. There is one thing I must say though, because some names are what we call border people there will be from time to time references made to the other county, so hence, Wexford border, Carlow Border, and Dublin must appear on our Wicklow list from time to time. Now May I have my coffee someone get my slippers turn the heater on, and yes you may all join me and I am going to sit back and relax and say this to you all Yippppppeeeeee I got a good report today Cheers Cara
