Looking for information on:- Higginbotham family of Ballintruer and Castleruddery. Elizabeth Higginbotham b. 1747 Whitestown. Is she the daughter of Thomas Higginbotham of Ballintruer, whose will is dated 1762, and the sister of John Higginbotham of Queen's County, will dated 1805, owned land at Castleruddery and Ballynure, Dunlavin? Elizabeth eloped abt 1768, with John Hanbidge of Tinnehinch. b. 1744, d. 1830 Donoughmore. I have not been able to find out much information on the Higginbotham family at all. Although I think that they mainly came from Dublin. However I have lots of information on the descendants of Elizabeth and John.
