Hi Cara I am one of those searching WOLOHANs and similar. I have been thinking I should post to the list but have been a bit hectic, so you have prompted me. I am interested in any names such as WOLOHAN, WOOLAHAN, WOOLAGHAN, WOLLOGHAN, WOLLAGHAN etc and am putting all occurences of the name worldwide onto a database at Rootsweb. Ideally I would one day like to find the family of my gg grandmother Eliza WOOLAGHAN born Strabane, County Tyrone c 1834. I have joined the Wicklow list because there was a Hugh WOOLAGHAN, who was courtmartialled in 1798 who originally came from Middletown, Co Wicklow. There are also a few Hugh WOOLAGHANs who later appeared around Strabane in Co Tyrone, so I am wondering if its the same person, or descendants of him. I have not yet been able to work out where Middletown is in Co Wicklow. Can anyone help me there please? I am in the process of reading the book "The Rebellion in Wicklow 1798" by Ruan O'Donnell as it has several references to Hugh. It also has quite a good index, so I would be happy to do lookups for anyone if you provide me with a name.
