Hello Wicklow Listers, This is my first post to this list and concerns my g/g/g/father and his family. They arrived in South Australia on a vessel called NASHWAUK on 1855-05-14. They are: Alexander TOOLE Farm Labourer 48 Mary TOOLE - 48 Denis TOOLE Farm Labourer 17 Teresa TOOLE Cook 14 Margaret TOOLE Cook 22 Eliza TOOLE Farm Servant 21 Mary TOOLE Housemaid 19 All are shown as being "Selected" from Wicklow. I assume this was some form of assisted immigration. Mary died in 1862 and I can find no record of her husband Alexander or son Denis dying in any state of Australia, so it is possible one or both may have returned to Ireland. I would be pleased to hear from any other researchers who have come across these folk in their "travels". Regards, Brian DOWNIE Melbourne, Australia
