Dear Cara and Listers, I had posted this reponse back in May of 2004. REDMOND and PHILLIPS are are both connected to my LACEY, later in USA spelled LEACY, family. I am guessing that they are siblings and/or cousins while keeping in mind that they might not be related at all, although unlikely. James Joseph LACEY, have no record of his parents, mother possibly Jenny? Catherine Mary CULLEN, believe she was the child of Patrick CULLEN and Bridget ROARK born 12 Sept., 1865 Ovoca, Co. Wicklow, according to the IGI from LDS. I would like to hear of any possible connections. Also, according to the record below, would Mounthoward be where James LACEY was living at the time? Wexford according to the Rite of the Catholic Church, on the 20th day of February 1884. The Witnesses were Peter REDMOND and Elizabeth CULLEN." I also have a copy for a baptismal listing for James & Catherine's first born, Miles: "Diocese of Ferns Parish of Litter On examination of the Register of Baptisms of above Parish I certify that according to it Miles LACEY was born on 2 day of December 1884, and was baptised according to th Rites of the Catholic Church on 2 day of December 1884 in the Church of St. Moling (sp?) Monamolin by the Rev.___________ Parents James LACEY (Mounthoward [sp?]) Kate CULLEN Sponsors Peter REDMOND Kate PHLLIPS Confirmed No Entry Married No Entry Signed Seamus Murh(sp) Given this 22 day of June, 2000 Monamolin, Gorey, Co. I found these but not Catherine Mary Eliza born 14/12/1867 Arklow registered Peter born 15/11/1870 Arklow registered to Patrick Cullen and Eliza Rorke Civil registrations ( Religion not Known) I am like Peggy currently researching the PHILLIPS family of Arklow and Peggy has flowed over the border to research her Redmonds in Wexford ...........Lacey has been a long search and nothing has really been connected I imagine you received the report I did on that name last year?
