Well I havent heard about it tell me all............. Hi Cara, I would love to be able to share a tree full of information about my CHATHAMS, but unfortunately what I have learned about them is mostly from this list. I have Joseph CHATHAM b. abt. 1839 in County Wicklow m. Bridget BURNS b. ?, Ireland. ( possibly a second wife?) Joseph's Mother was Catherine, maiden name unknown b. 1803 in County Wexford. I have no info on Joseph's father. I'm not even sure if Joseph and Bridget married in Ireland or US. I know they were in US before 1871 when a daughter Mary was born in Michigan. Another daughter Catherine was born in 1878 in Nevada and twin boys James and John were born in 1880 in California. The twins died at three and six months. In later census, Bridget was listed as having had eight children, three of which were still alive. I can account for four children, two were living. "A Jimmy Chatham of "Butte, Montana - Died 7 Churches In Ireland". This is taken from the Family Record Of Marriage and Birth. It also lists a cousin, Margette Chatham of Butte, Montana, a retired school teacher." Is Jimmy possibly a brother to Joseph??? Joseph was a miner in all records I find for him in the US so assume that was his occupation in Ireland also. Wish I had more to share ... Regards, Gail Vacaville, CA
