Cara, Interesting to see that you listed Tuttys and Moorehouses in your research. I have a Frances Eager, b. 27th June 1842, who married a Mr Moorhouse. Their son, Tom Moorhouse was born about 1887 and died 26th February 1933, age 46. He married Mary Tutty. She was the daughter of Anne (Tutty) and Richard Tutty, and was lived between 1881 and 1960. My many times great aunt, Mary Jane Eager, provided further information, which is all a bit of a muddle as I haven't identified all the links - it is a bit like a logic question. She says : 1. Tom Moorhouse is third cousins with Gretta Dowling's Aunt Nan. Gretta's maiden name was Eager, she was born in 1925, and her parents were Germain Eager and Mary Ann Ovington. I don't know of this Aunt Nan - whether she was an Ovington by birth or married an Ovington. 2. Aunt Nan's grandmother's surname was Hobson. 3. Grandmother Hobson's parents were Anne Eager of Ballinafoyle and Henry Lawrence of Slieveroe Moyne. Anne Eager was born around 1812, and her parents were William Eager and Katherine Finlay. Myself and Mary Jane Eager are descended from William's son Germaine Eager, b. 1813. So I guess that we are looking for a Female Lawrence marrying a Male Hobson! Who is Aunt Nan?! PS.
