In fact, there are only four townlands in Ardoyne CP, and Ardoyne townland accounts for over half of the area of the parish (the townland is 971 acres). Ardoyne townland has a more than four mile-long common border with Co. Carlow, and it is located just 2 miles ESE of Tullow town in Co. Carlow. There is a "poorly preserved" old church ruin in the townland, in conjunction with a graveyard which "contains a small number of late eighteenth-century headstones". There also appears to be a current Church of Ireland church in the townland (Holy Trinity?). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Pete Schermerhorn, in the glorious Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts
