Yes, she was Joyce Hilda HAWKINS, born 04/03/1906 and died 14/6/1987. She came to my husband's and my wedding in 1985 :-) all the way from Ireland. Joyce and John Lancelot were cousins of some degree as John's paternal grandmother was also a Hawkins, but I'm not sure of the link. This is one of the areas that I'd like to work on next. They are quite an interesting bunch as Joyce's mother was Hilda Nugent BANKES of Kingston Lacy (now National Trust) in Dorset, England and her (Joyce's) oldest brother was Admiral Sir Geoffrey Hawkins, who married Margaret Montagu-Douglas-Scott, the older sister of the recently deceased Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester.
