On June 7th there was an email on the list telling Cara that Jane who married Amadeus Valentine was a Blake from memory. I note the names of the children were Francis Blake John James Edward and Thomas. My ggrandmother was named Mary Blake from County Cavan married to a Thomas John Shannon, Cty.Cavan. I have the marriage cert. of my grandparents in Sydney as John Shannon (Cty Cavan) married Catherine Keogh (Cty Wicklow) and the names of the parents of John Shannon were shown as Mary Blake married Thomas John Shannon. On Griffiths Val. I found the names of John,James, Edward and Thomas and think one of these would be tbe father of Mary Blake. I cannot find where Thomas Shannon married Mary Blake but judging on the birthdate of my grandfather I would estimate between 1800 and 1815. /Would anyone have any information on these names please.
