Cara, I too share Shirley's consern that our Wicklow page had closed down. If you come accross any of those very scarce Nortons or Cartys I would love to hear of them. David. Whether you are having a WINTER Christmas or a SUMMER Christmas I wish all a happy and a holy one.
Hi Dave & Tess: I am looking for any information on a Catherine Carty that married Pierie Sinnott 15 july 1791 at Arklow in Wicklow Ireland. Pierie was christened 24 Nov. 1763 and died in 1858 he was the son of James Sinnott and Ann Connor, who were married 17 Jan. 1762 in Arklow,Wicklow. James Sinnott was born abt. 1737 in Castletown,Wexford and is buried in Kilkevan, near Castletown. Ann Connor was born abt. 1741 in Ross. Wexford. ---------------------------------- Catherine was (b) abt. 1769 in Castletown, Wexford. Catherine and Pierie had (3) three children all born in Castletown, Wexford; James abt. 1793; Thomas abt 1796; and Ann abt. 1799. If all the above is correct as presented from FamilySearch/ IGI for Ireland, then Thomas Sinnett born in Castletown,Wexford would be the original immigrant to New Brunswick,Ca., and my 2nd. Great Grandfather. I would appreciate any and all help to confirm the above facts, i.e. census, church records, url's for maps of the counties, etc. Edd Sinnett in Florida........ ----- Original Message ----- From: "dave & tess" <davtes@bigpond.net.au> To: <IRL-WICKLOW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 09, 2005 3:15 AM Subject: [Wicklow] re mailing list Cara, I too share Shirley's consern that our Wicklow page had closed down.
