Cara, I am grasping at straws. I have a Michael Brennan/Brennen born about 1832 in Cty Wicklow to Patrick Brennan/Brennen. Actually, I found 4 Patricks on the Griffith's Valuation: #1 Patrick, Parish: Arklow, Location: T/Arkow The Fishery #2 Patrick: Parish Boystown, Location: Ballynastockan #3 Patrick, Parish Rathdrum, Location: Ballinderry Upper #4 Patrick, Parish Rathdrum, Location: T/Rathdrum Brewery Lane By 1846/47, Michael Brennan/Brennen is in the USA, Lancaster, Erie County, NY - I have looked and looked for him on ship's records but cannot find him. I am wondering if he came through Canada. If his birth year is correct, he would have been about 14 when he arrived here. I know nothing about Michael's father (Patrick) other than the info on his death certificate. By 1850, Michael was a land owner/farmer in Lancaster, Erie County, NY. Did he come with money?? The Brennan/Brennen family in Lancaster, NY attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. I know this isn't much but for the moment it is all I can think of that might help with a time frame. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.
