Hi fellow 'researchers', Whilst compiling my HIGGINS/JOHNSON family tree, I came across a wonderful old Castlemacadam school photo, c 1924 with a list of children below the photo. The names are; Maggie DAVIS, Dot NEWMAN, Lena LUKE, Mollie HIGGINS, Eileen SHIRLEY, Lil DAVIES, Ella NEWMAN, E?? Hill, Mary WILSON, Edith HILL, Irene Fa??ire, Lily Fa??ire, Jenny Duch?, Girlie HIGGINS, Ernie WILSON, Charlie???, Willie PERI??, Mary Ann DAVIS, Willie WHEATLEY, Tom SHANLEY?, Will NEWMAN?, Gladys HIGGINS, Gladys WILSON, Lorna LOWERY?, Mable HILL, Sally KEITH? Fanny RYAN, Hilda HIGGINS, Anna STEADMAN, Kathleen GRIFFIN, Jim SHIRLEY, Willie STEADMAN, Jim DAVIS, Willie RYAN, Ed EVANS, Annie WHEATLEY, Willie EVANS, David DAVIS, Myrtle HUGHES, Phyllis HIGGINS and Fanny EVANS. Some of the writing is a little hard to decipher, but you are welcome to view the photo, just send an email to [email protected] and I will send it direct to your email address as an attachment. Likewise, if you have any info re the HIGGINS family, Captain James HIGGINS, JP, 1842-1920, who lived at Tigroney House, Avoca and ran the local mines, or any of his 16-17 children, one of which (Sydney) is my Dad's (Joel James (Jim)) father. They ended up living in Mill House (Farm) Kilcarra, Near Avoca, Co WICKLOW. Cara has provide me with some data, but I would love more as this period of my ancestry fascinates me. Also, the Johnson family, as Granddad Sydney married Ellen Johnson, who ran the Avoca village store. I have a tree on Ancestry.com and is available to view (FOC) if you have any interest. Cheers, Jim HIGGINS, Cambridgeshire, England
