Cara, === a concise direction as to where this place is would be appreciated Teglin or is it Tiglin? === There are three townland listings for Tiglin in Co. Wicklow - but only two discrete townlands. One Tiglin is just a mile south of the small town of Newcastle, along the west side of the R 761 heading south to Rathnew. This townland stretches about a mile north/south and a half-mile east/west. The civil parish line between Killiskey and Newcastle Lower parishes cuts horizontally through the middle of this townland .....hence, the separate entries in the townland listings. The other Tiglin is located about 5 miles SW of the aforementioned Tiglin, and is in Killiskey civil parish. The R 763 regional road cuts through the middle of the townland. The minor access road to the Adventure Centre off of the R 763, is in this Tiglin. Neither of the Tiglins appear to be particularly populated (as of 35 years ago [gr]). There were then just 2 or 3 buildings in the Tiglin near Newcastle and about 7 buildings in the other Tiglin; all of those near the western end of the townland and west of the road to the Adventure Centre.
