Well Cara Another Xmas gone and your message re newbie's should be taken as an example to all. I had a rather unpleasant time on joining a new list recently. I asked for help and received superior patronising replies from a couple of the more "research educated" folk who suggested I research a bit more before asking questions, the answers I was seeking were already available on the internet. Was told I couldn't expect others to do my research for me. Boy, didn't I let them have it. Ended up with a couple of list members being chucked off the list. I survived and some of the more helpful people were kind enough to aid me in the new geographical area that I found myself . Some of the info I received was gladly received an ended up with some quality results and some good links to start me on my way. If I hadn't been a bit experienced in researching in general, that attitude I encountered would probably have discouraged me from joining any list in the future having had such an unhelpful brush with some ""superior""" beings! May have stopped a fulfilling hobby before it really started. It costs nothing to be polite, friendly and helpful. It is fun to watch the development of new researchers and share their excitement when they fell a brick wall. The friendships we on a good list make are special. We should never forget that we were all there once! Now Cara, comes to me that you have been slacking off...again!! I suppose it got you out of cooking Xmas dinner????
