STRATFORD-ON-SLANEY Is a pleasant little village in the Parish of Rathbran about three miles from Grangecon Railway Station on the Great Southern and Western Railway, and four from Baltinglass. It is beautifully situated on an eminence overlooking the Slaney, and is generally regarded as a good fishing centre. Population about 200.
