    3. Thank you Joyce. This is most helpful. I think it would now be best for me to order a copy of the marriage registration. They also lost a son William who died 1856 aged 4 months. They went on to have ten children.Another died at 11 months and my great grandmother at 23 following the birth of a child. Your help is appreciated. Thomas Hendy's father's name was William who his mother was I do not know and he married Margaret Maria Long in Baltinglass as you have been told 14/10/1853 Maria's father was Robert Long and who his wife was I do not know either. But a I also have a Thomas Hendy son of Thoams married to Harriet Patterson daughter of Joseph in Blessington 8/11/1855 Also this may be a brother of your Thomas- William of William Hendy married Alice Jane Taylor on 29th June 1852 at Ballynure Co Wicklow Ireland bride was aged 18 years. HENDY, William Marriage Wife: Anne Jane TAYLOR Age: 18 Marriage Date: 29 Jun 1852 Recorded in: Ballynure, Wicklow, Ireland Collection: Civil Registration Husband's Father: William HENDY Source: FHL Film 101333 Dates: 1852 - 1852 William John Hendy father unknown married Jane Hunt Daughter of Nicholas and of course there is no marriage date to this bit of news But they do have a Martha, William, Louisa Anne and a Jane Hendy born 14.5.1868 at Dunlavin.     3. Thank you for this new data Cara. Of course I can't be sure but gives me something to work on. I assume the locations are all possibles. Can you tell me if there is likely to be naming patterns. My Hendy family had at least 12 children.The names William,Thomas, (Margaret and Maria as middle names) are replicated.However these are pretty common names. Thanks for your help.
