Hi Jeanette, There really isn't a way to determine whether or not the sponsors you mentioned in the Arklow Baptisms are relations or not, since the Arklow Catholic records only begin at about 1818. If you knew who the parents of the sponsors were, you could figure that out. Sponsor Margaret McDaniel IS Margaret McDaniel. I'm just wondering....did I give you those records? I think I might have, and if that's the case, while I know them to be correct (what an ego!), I would advise you and anyone taking records from people over the internet to verify them yourself! A slip of a pinky on a keyboard, or bad eyesight reading bad handwriting on very old paper/microfilm can change the information you receive and really throw you off. If you are using my records, I suggest and urge you to do what Reagan said..."Trust but verify". Like Joseph, I also use home made databases (I use microsoft word), and I'll sort my records by residence and see what comes up for Johnstown. I'll post it, if I find any connections.
