I am aware that Termonfechin is in Co Louth, not Co Wicklow but hope you can point me in the correct direction to find records, hopefully on line, of the Co Louth side of my family. I have been shown family gravestones when attending my aunt's funeral and would like to obtain further information. Unfortunately I live in North Yorkshire in England and so do not have ready access to Irish records. I hope to visit in the not too distant future but not within the next year as our first grandchild is due this summer. Thank you. Anna Thomas

Dear listers - hope you all have a great 2009 making new discoveries. I am still on the trail of my CAVANAGH great grandfather John Charles CAVANAGH born c1840, supposedly in Dublin. (I have posted this previously but always hopeful that something new may come up.) His parents were James CAVANAGH and Ann HAGAN, according the death certificate of his sister Mary, born c1839, also reputedly Dublin. On my last visit to Dublin I scoured all the RC Dublin parish records available and found no trace of either the children's baptisms or the parents' marriage. I am now 'spreading' out a little and Wicklow could be a possibility as there are CAVANAGHs and HAGANs there in the Griffiths. I am aware of the variety of spellings of the name CAVANAGH and have not overlooked those in my search. Any suggestions, comments or actual leads will be fallen upon with great gratitude.
