    3. Hi there Do either of you know what Byrne line in Wicklow you are researching. Usually when someone mentions they are researching the Byrne's everyone starts stammering and twitching. The research has that effect on one. I am researching two lines that ended up in NSW Australia. 1) far back as I could go is James Byrne m Sarah Franklin (they had a lot of kids. 2) far back on this for Sylvester Byrne with wife Rose/Rosanna I can list the descendants of both. . One of there kids was Hugh Vesty Byrne b. Wicklow c1777 who married Sara Dwyer they had heaps of descendants in NSW. There is yet another line (of many) that settled in the Windsor area of NSW. Have some of that but not a lot. too easy to mix the lines gathering info on too many of the elusive Byrne's researching them truly give one a headache. I'm in a rush right now but will answer any questions you give me if you know what line. Happy to share. Seems I had a crash and have lost the James & Sarah descendants which were on software program but have it all on paper. regards Paddy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Arlene" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2009 3:05 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-WICKLOW] Byrne > Maggie: > I would love any informaion you have the Byrne's My great grandmother > Mary > was a Byrne but I have not had any luck tracing her except I know she was > born in Wicklow and married a Matthew Kennedy. 3. Paddy I haven't hit an Australian connection (that I know about yet) The male line that I have confirmed, starting with my GGrandfather is James Owen Byrne (Born in 1840 in Annamoe) William O Byrne (born 1795) George Byrne (Born 1765) William Byrne (Born 1740 in Glenmalure) I have some children info, but this is just the head of the household list I"m not sure if I'm answering your question or not. William in 1740 is as far back as I can get. My grandmother is a daughter of James Owen Byrne. She, along with 2 sisters and a brother came to the US.
