Hi Peggy All I know re Bridget Sullivan s she marred John Niles 1847 Wcklow Town- civil reg and her dad was .Patrick Sulavan. a Susannah Sullvan may also be connected as she was a sponser to Bridgets first child Susannah Niles later that year in Avoca RC parish. I did fnd a Patrck Sullvan havng kids in Avoca Eleanor 1825 Honour 1830 James 1832- mam Mary sponser Ellen Sullvan John Dunn Ann 1834 Catherne 1837 Patrick 1839 I dont know if these are all the same Patrick and whether any connection as I see there are Sullivans havng kids in Avoca who dont seem to have been born there. Im startng to think some came from Bray area eg maybe a Joseph Sullivan who appears in Avoca as a dad. Ive been suspended from the pay as you go baptsm site for using it too much for free so cant look further at the moment. (Naughty of me I should have been more selective) My current thoughts are Bridget was born circa 1827 ether in a RC parish not on that site- Greystones etc etc or Church of Ireland. To be honest she may not even have been born Wicklow at all Census reports provided by you I believe, show Sullivans coming from Wexford after Bridgids appearance, maybe there was movement in the 1820s also? My final abstract thought of the day is I dont see any illigitimate baptisms, were they all forced to marry or could Bridget MAYBE not have been baptised a Sullivan. Ive been wondering about this in general as my english tree is full of dead ends. Moving onto the Byrnes. John Donnelly married Esther Byrne(my translation of bad writng) 26 sept 1853 Avoca RC- wtness Julia Donnelly ? Conners. Who she was is anyones guess. Im thinking maybe Esse Byrne daughter of Patrick baptsed Avoca rc 1827??
