    1. [IRL-WICKLOW] death of infant Arthur Byrne - 1902

    3. Hello I was searching for my own ancestors and struck out, but having paid 5 Euros, I thought I would share this record in hope that it helps someone else. Arthur Byrne, aged one day, died 24 Jul 1902 at 4 Magenta Place, Kingstown, Co Dublin. He was the son of Arthur Byrne of that same address. He was RC and was buried in Deansgrange graveyard in the parish of the same name. The note says only: G 72 N - which I don't understand but possibly it is the site of his grave within the cemetery. My Arthur Byrne was living in Dublin at 15 Amiens St, in 1868 but no trace of him was found subsequent to that date. His other children were born in the 1860s so there's no possibility this was my family. My Arthur and his wife Bridget Corcoran had two daughters - Eleanor Mary and Catherine Frances, born in 1862 and 1863 respectively. (I've found no trace of these girls.) They had son Luke in 1868, who subsequently married Bridget Murphy in Tullow and had two sons Edward and Arthur. I do know the descendants of these two lads. Luke (the baker) died according to stories, in Gorey, sometime after the 1911 census. His wife died shortly after childbirth circa 1903 when the twin baby girls died. It is not known if she died in Leitrim where they had been living, or in Tullow near her own parents. If any of this sounds familiar I'd love to be in touch. Ann Burns Ottawa ON
