My second trip into Ireland had me searching the YEW tree cemetery or was it the first, cant confirm that yet, but that aside I can tell you it was a graveyard that was known as the burial grounds for the Doyles, we crossed a newly sewn paddock of corn, and climbed over the fence ( I was young enough then and fit enough to climb fences mmmmm those were the days) and entered the graveyard, to be disappointed to find that headstones were being lost to time and general decay, and 23 years on I imagine time has done the rest But among my notes and confirmed by Cantwell is Erected by William Kidd in memory of his father Saml ( Sic) Kidd of Ballisland who departed this life the 8 June 1812 aged 72 years. Also here lieth the body of George brother of above William who died the > Feb 182? aged ?7 years and also is interred here.
