I would appreciate any help in locating information on James Short Married 08/02/1850 Glendalough to Anne Byrne b30/01/1824 Glendalough. Children John (Owen), Mary Agnes, James, Mortimer, Catherine Agnes, Margaret, Anne and Bridget. In 1881 Anne and Children migrated to Australia but not James snr. I can't find his death date or his and Anne Byrne's parents to enable me to trace the family back. If anyone has information I would find it a great asset June Gotham Australia.
It would appear that perhaps Anne was born in Glendalough and that is why they married there, but Bridget Short there child was born 6/4/1869 at Newcastle Co Wicklow which suggest that her husband may be buried in that area if she arrived in Australia alone, I cannot say at this moment who were her parents, ( many files still to be looked at). Have you located Anne on a shipping register from a port in UK to Australia, you do not say to what state she migrated so I cant further the look on that part either .
