Hi Cara: Yes there has not been much communication lately on this sight. I have corresponded with you before re: Robert Jones born 1799. His daughter Dorcas married Henry Fennell. That makes Robert my GGGrandfather. Anyway I am playing with some thought on possible siblings and parents to Robert. First Sibling: William Jones b. 1812-13 d 1884 He lived at least in his married years at Holdenstown Lodge next to my Robert. John Jones b. 1807 d 1869 believe to live next to the Jones property in Holdenstown Lower where Abraham Jones lived - son of Robert Edward Jones b. 1791 d. 1859 ( had son Thomas that married Ellen Gilltrap. My Sarah Fennell married their son Thomas. Their other son Henry bought the Fennell home place in Holdenstown where Robert and Rebecca lived) I have tree on Edward with child Thomas, but not any other children. Elizabeth Jones b. 1807 d. 1844 (my Grandma Anne had sister by this name) a John Jones b 1811 d 1837 Sarah Jones b. 1812 d. 1829 (my Grandma Anne Fennell had sister Sarah) Christopher Jones b. 1786 d 1848 All these buried at St. Mary's in Rathvilly At Kiltgan Cemetery an Edward Jones b 1800 d 1861 may be brother to Robert. This is where Robert is buried. Possible parents: Edward Jones b. 1778 d 1838 John Jones b. 1769 d. 1836 Also buried in Rathvilly but all listed as being from Holdenstown Would you have any info on these people. You have copies of deeds going back to 1757 that I previously sent you. There is also a Robert P Jones from Hacketstown which might be father to my Robert. Hmmmm. Hopefully you can follow this and maybe put some pieces together for me. Appreciate your help. Hi Cara and all, This morning I looked at my incoming mail and there were 5 ratbag messages, selling everything they could think of. The obligatory 'carrot' of a link invited me to click.....Oh no, I certainly did not. Just added them to my 'block' list and this deletes anything from these people....BUT..please do not forget to follow through to your deleted items and clear the trash. Otherwise the offensive emails stay there. I then go to the Recycle bin and make sure that is emptied too. Such a pain these idiots. They seem to be out in force this week. Trouble is they sometimes change their email details and send again. More to do today without cleaning up the mess they leave. Thanks Cara. Still here monitoring however been very busy and somewhat discouraged lately with my research. With winter nights looming will have more time for that rather than the garden. Kindest regards Charlene

It is apparent that a lot of email addresses are being hacked at the current time, could you all be aware of this, and if the message looks weird don't open the link, if you don't know the write then don't open the link. I realise we are supposed to be protected from these kind of things happening, but when they clear the Rootsweb mailing room and land on the list, I like you am also subject to having to be aware of these things. Another way for you to address this problem is to also change your passwords, often I think in a bid to keep up to date with these hackers busy doing their thing. When noted that a lister has been hacked if it is not picked up at Rootsweb address, and then it is picked up by myself that mail address is automatically removed from the list, and in the end even if you write to me, and say I have fixed the problem you must yourself then add back your address to the list, that way, we become aware that you are then back in control of your own account. Sorry to see some of you being taken over by the hackers or whatever you desire to call them, but the only way is to keep changing your email address, add less information of any personal details to your emails and be constantly on the aware that I don't see all the crap that floats to the list any sooner than you do. Cheers cara
Would appear you are here Paddy But one does wonder if its only us still here, is there anyone out there? And me! I've only just joined this list, and the "funny email" was actually the first message I received - a bit discombobulating, as you can imagine. Happily, like Paddy, I junked it without opening it. But it's good to know the list is still alive... Hi Cara and all listers: I have had this very same problem with individuals on my personal mailing list, and the response has been to " change the password " but in doing so, I continue to get e-mails from the " hacked address ". Shouldn't the person that has been hacked also change their " address, as well as their password " so that we can block the hacked address.
