Dear Viv Yes it is the very person who took the photos at your mothers home, perhaps an email to this address may solve the problem, I cannot guarantee you an answer from this email address as it has been sometime since it was used by me. joanckavanagh@eircom.net But remember that sometimes people promise things, and never stay true to the promise The lady in question was changing jobs when she was last here and took those photos. So I would perhaps give her an email and see if you get an answer, she may even bring them down to Sydney and post them on to you. Nothing ventured nothing gained Cara

    1. RE: [Wicklow] SHELTON AND BEATTIE AND BEATTY
    2. Thank you Cara. Much appreciated. I am the one from before and didn't entirely dismiss it as errors in spelling happen by those other than family. I do know that there is also a John BEATTY in Kiloughter as transcribed by Brian Cantwell with the spelling BEATTY. Uncle John's letter clearly spelled it BEATTY but you never know so have not closed the door but Uncle John would have been in his 70's at the time of the letter. I am on the road for business so info is back home but will explore this further then and send the additional info I just found last week. Appreciate all the effort you do for us, it is so helpful. Some day I want to tread the roads of ireland and I am slowly mapping the places I would go. One would be to enjoy a "pint" with you to meet face to face.
