    3. Hi Bill I saw from Family Search that George A. Aitken was born in 1941 in DUBLIN NORTH, so I searched the Dublin Electoral Rolls for 1939/40 (http://www.dublinheritage.ie) and there they were - William Marshall Aitken and Elizabeth Madeline Aitken, living at 89a Howth Road. Also at that address are 2 Halpins - Robert James and Alice Vera, plus 2 McCabes. Relatives?? Good luck! 3. Thank you Brendan. I only discovered this daughter by accident due to her unusual name spelling, Madeline, because in the 1911 Census she was not with her family but with her Myers grandparents in Kilkenny. She was named for her grandmother, Madeline Turnbull, and she also had an aunt, Madeline Halpin. So, it is only from your assistance that I have learned she had a first name Elizabeth, her maternal grandmother's name. Your suggested lines of enquiry are good. 1. [IRL-WICKLOW] My christmas born rellie
    2. Hi I thought it would be nice to stretch christmas a bit and give a mention to my great grandmother Mary DONNELLY, baptised 31 Dec 1854 RC parish of Avoca daughter of John and Esther Donnelly. Mary died in 1927 in Thornley Colliery, County Durham, England- the widow of Patrick NILES. Sad to say no marker of her grave remains in place. A housing development marks the spot. She however is very much alive to me, thanks to this list. Carol

    3. Ah Christine, Thanks to you for letting us know and thanks as always to Cara, Joyce and Vicki for giving their time to increase the already magnificent records now available through IGP. We who research in Ireland and specifically in Wicklow KNOW how lucky we are. Thought::: Can't imagine what would have happened to most of the gathered records if not for the dedication of those still gathering and publishing for all. Great work.
