My search has gone on for many years,regarding the birthplace and pertinent information regarding my grandfather, Christopher Clear. He was born ,08 June, 1839,County Wexford,Ireland. Immigrated to Ontario, Canada about 1847 with a brother Patrick Joseph.,who was b.17 March,1820. Patrick was married in 1858, at St Patricks Roman Catholic Church in Lucan ,Dec.6, 1858, listing his parents as Jas. and Mary (no maiden name ). Married again in 1868, listed as widower of late Mary A.Bennett. About 1872,both men moved to the U.S., settling in NW Iowa. Patrick died in 1904. Among the survivors were Christopher,Iowa and Thomas ,Ireland,his brothers. Christopher did not marry until 1876 in Iowa, and did not leave much of trail in Canada. Consequently most of my information has been garnered through Patrick. Would appreciate any information. Gladys
