Hi everyone, I am trying to find information on the parents of my g-g-grandmother, Margaret Smith. From her death certificate (she died in Australia) and also from her marriage certificate (also in Australia) I have determined that her parents were John Smith, farmer, and Mary Newport. According to the age on her MC & DC she was born about 1850 in Glenview, Wexford. I haven't even been able to determine where Glenview is, which would be a help as then I would know which parish to search. I found a site on the internet from which a surname showed a Margaret born in 1850 in Wexford (no furhter details). The same site also produced a marriage between a John Smith and Mary Newport in 1846 (no further details). Immigration records to Australia are not complete and with a name of Smith searching is very difficult, especially to confirm the correct individual. Apart from trying to get a marriage certificate from the Wexford Heritage Society, any other ideas or anyone researching this family? Thanks

I think my John Sinnott & Mary Smith mustve married before registration(only just) as they have a son William born on 5th May 1864. John & Mary both born around 1840 we think. Possibly around Faythe St. Not sure what church this would involve. Mark
