My gg-grandfather Thomas Harmon was born in 1834 in Ireland to Lawrence Harmon, b. 12 Dec 1808, Co. Kilkenny, and Bridget Hays, b. 29 Aug 1813, Ireland. He married Ellen Quinlisk of Co. Tipperary. He had a farm in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio, and died there. According to an 1880 U.S. census, besides wife Ellen he had 4 sons and was 46 years old . I'm trying to find the parish he came from, and "parish of Listerlin, townland of Ballymartin" was associated with a Lawrence Harman in Griffiths Valuation, but this "lead" is not producing any fruit. I know there are Harmons in Co. Wexford and perhaps someone has some bit of information about the Harmon or Hays families for me.
Contact Cyril Newsome he is doing Hays family tree and I think from memory he has a site or a list for Hays somewhere Cara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rita Elkins" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 2:54 PM Subject: [IRL-WEXFORD] HARMON, HAYS Query > My gg-grandfather Thomas Harmon was born in 1834 in Ireland to > Lawrence Harmon, b. 12 Dec 1808, Co.
