    3. I have,in reply to yr query,a slight interest in this name as my youngest son in the mid 1900s married a HARMAN girl in the Christchurch area of our South Island -she comes from a line of Harmans going back to a Richard James Strachan HARMAN dob DBL 1826 and settled in the area in early 1850s. I have only collected disjointed refs to the name Harman but if you have access to publications such as Burkes "Landed Gentry of IRL 1899" you will find refs under 1King-Harmon of Newcastle [co Longford] 2Harman of Palace--near New Ross and Ferns Co Wex [also check Ross[old]in Lewis's Topographical Survey of the 1850s] 3 Stafford -King-Harmon of ROCKINGHAM Co Roscommon In the first there are refs to a Lawrence Harman as given names.I cannot pick up any ref to a Thomas H. in your time scale but these refs may give you some leads on study. Also the list of Ch. of IRL clergy [RCBL-Dublin}give some refs to 8 Harman clergymen in S IRL over the years. All this is vague but may give some pointers Would appreciate in due course of any success you have John D Rose Epsom Auckland NZ -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Cara_Links Sent: Thursday, 16 August 2007 6:31 p.m. To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [IRL-WEXFORD] HARMON, HAYS Query Contact Cyril Newsome he is doing Hays family tree and I think from memory he has a site or a list for Hays somewhere Cara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rita Elkins" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 2:54 PM Subject: [IRL-WEXFORD] HARMON, HAYS Query > My gg-grandfather Thomas Harmon was born in 1834 in Ireland to > Lawrence Harmon, b. 12 Dec 1808, Co.
