I, too, have tried to get info on my Ireland ancestors but with no success so I am trying again. George Stacy married Alice Earl in 1839 and they came to the United States probably in 1854 with son, Willie, and daughter Mary Jane. Mary Jane married Eugene Barrett and is my great grandmother. My mother remembers Mary Jane stating she was from County Wexford. George and Willie had "ship fever" when they arrived at Ellis Island,New York. They were taken away and "never heard from again." The information I have on Earls is as follows: Alice Earl born 1812 Frances Earl b 1829 Edward EArl b 1814 possibly Eliza Earl Stuart, a sister of Alice Earl. >From the nformation you all have, I think more records are being found and recorded.
