Having not lived in the past Beth the simple question you have asked could only be speculated on, because who would say they went to the Fever Hospital or the Workhouse except if you were able to locate a death register it would say Workhouse of Fever Hospital, it would be an impossible task for anyone to think that all persons sick with the fever made it to any hospital. But I must admit it is a great question, on who went to the Fever Hospitals etc, as many of the so called uppers of the area actually died in Fever Hospitals side by side with the poor and also the same for Workhouses. Where were they married that holds the bigger clue as to where in location you may or may not find a burial for her, allowing that Patrick would have been the person most likely to be erect a memorial how long after she died did he leave with the children. Also another thing you must take into account was if they could afford a headstone, and many females were taken home to be buried in a family plot so perhaps she is back with her parents in a plot. Just some thoughts for you to speculate on. Do you know their townland?
