Hi Kay, My MURPHYS: Patrick MURPHY married Mary COWMAN in 1834 in Wexford, most likely, Enniscorthy. I don't have birthdates for them so am assuming about 1800-1815. They had 3 children that I know of: Michael b c. 1838 in Enniscorthy source 1881 census Battersea, Ontario Mary Ann b January 1, 1837 in Enniscorthy area, source census 1861, 71, 81, 1901 Kingston, Ont. Nicholas b 1840 in Enniscorthy source 1861 census of Kingston, Ont. Their mother, Mary Cowman MURPHY died in Ireland of the fever Their father, Patrick MURPHY died on board ship in Kingston upon arrival.......maybe about 1848....not sure. Their daughter, Mary Ann married Thomas HOWLAN July 22, 1857 in St Mary's Cathedral, Kingston, Ontario. Mary Ann and Thomas died in 1904. Their children emmigrated to Chicago, IL at different times between 1893 and 1905. Catherine and Margaret are family names.
