Hi Margaret, Hunting Doyles in Gorey is a huge task! As bad as looking for a Redmond or a Kinsella. I found my Redmonds by looking for Kinsellas - almost, but not quite as hard. Since Faulkner is not as prolific a name, why not concentrate of finding Mary first, if she married John in Ireland. Just a suggestion.... I am also looking for JOHN DOYLE, married ELIZA O'NEILL abt 1860 in Wexford, Co Wexford, had about 8 children in Wexford, all RC, but just to confuse me stated on imigration records to NSW that they were all English !!!! Colleen Just a small thing is the fact that your Irish ancestors left from England for New South Wales, and they may well have been living there and this is why they are listed as English It is just another twist of the never ending turns you will encounter whilst searching for Irish ancestors.
