My grandfather Christopher was born County Wexford abt 1838 ,emigrated to Canada about 1847,with an older brother Patrick Joseph ,born 20 March 1820. Patricks marriage at St Josephs Catholic, Lucan,Canada,in 1858,listed his father as Jas. Clear and his mother Mary. I do not know if their parents came to Canada, but doubt it since a brother Thomas was still living in Ireland when Patrick died in Palo Alto Co.,Iowa,U.S. in 1908. Christopher,a bachelor and Patrick,his wife ,Mary and children migrated to Iowa about 1870. I am continually searching for information on the CLEAR,CLARE family from Co Wexford. Gladys,Iowa

Buried in Ballyanne few miles North of New Ross Co Wexford Ireland CLEARE-KEHOE-CULLETON 1A Erected by James Cleare of Ballinabanogue? in mmeory of his son James Cleare who died April 17th 1867 aged 17 years. Also his wife Mary Cleare who died March 5th 1875 aged 67 years the above named James Cleare died November 22nd 1876aged 73 years and his son Walter died 2nd Feb 1895 aged 52 years. Also John Kehoe Ballinabanogue? died 4th oct 1936 aged 66 years also Mary Kehoe died 17th Juen 1966 aged 86 and their son Walter died 22nd August 1974 aged 66. His sister Kathleen died 29th August 1981 aged 72 years. 1b Erected by William Culleton of New Ross in memory of his wife Mary Culleton alias Clear who depd this life August the 21st 1825 aged 34 years Searched under the spellings of Cleare and Clare.
