    1. Re: [IRL-WEXFORD] IRL-WEXFORD - CONNOR in Gorey
    2. Hi Rose, I've been to the Church in Gorey many times, going over their fabulous records. They are very helpful! I originally went there to find the marriage of my Gr.Gr. Grands, and my G.Grandmother's Baptismal records. John Redmond m. Margaret Kinsella in 1837. My Gr. Grandmother, Mary Redmond was Baptized in 1842. I was told, on my first visit to the church that there was no church in Gorey in the 1840s, and I should look at the Kilanerin Church records, copies of which are kept in the Gorey Church. They are all computerized books, and in less than five minutes, I had both records, with Volume and Page Numbers, to take to the Kilanerin Church, where I finally got the Certificates. So, you might want to look at the Kilanerin Church for your Gorey Connors. Hope that helps in your search. Peggy Leonard ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    1. [IRL-WEXFORD] USE THE OFFICE IN GOREY AND LEAVE THE PRIEST BE

    3. Well Peggy I am not sure when you was last at the Gorey office BUT they do have an extant copy of the books from Kilanerin Church which invole Gorey and far easier for anyone to get to than the parish priest at Kilanerin. And I do not advocate annoying parish priests, I really suggest you all use the office in Gorey and leave the parish priest's to get on with their busy works. I will get the address and those of you interested can do your own writing and get the data from them yourself.
