Hi Edd, Good to hear from you too. I am excited to make contact with some Sinnett/Sinot connections. I know very little about my ancestors. Except that they seemed to spell their name differently all the time. Probably not them but the census takers, record keepers, etc. spelled it like they thought it sound. My g grandmother Mary Alice Sinnet m. Joshua Rogers Robinson. Her parents were Mary and Michael Sinnet. The 1860 US census record shows that Michael was born in Ireland, Mary in VA and Mary Alice and her brother Michael in Maryland. I found a 1868 Mineral County, West Virginia, death certificate for a Michael Sannet b. Ireland, parents James and Mary Sannet. The rest is a mystery to me.
