Thanks Peter & Cara! Yes, this is the Anne Barker who married Thomas Webster in 1857, and yes, Robert was one of their children. But one of five. Mary Allice, Thomas, Richard Samuel Doxey, William Joseph & said Robert. ( I know all their descendents except for William's.) Her marriage cert doesn't list parents occupations, but they were married at St Luke's Church at Leskinfere, both Church of Ireland. Thomas was a widower, and his father was Richard Webster. Thomas Webster was born in 1790, and married first in 1806 to Elizabeth, maybe also Webster (that's what the lists for the area have) but maybe she was Baker. Family lore may have gotten her last name mixed up with Anne BARKER though. I'm sure there were many children of that marriage, but I only know of 2 girls. There was definitely at least one son who returned from Canada to erect a headstone to his mother. But I don't know his name. I would love to trace this part of the family too! So when Elizabeth died, the 67 yr old Thomas married 35 yr old Anne Barker! And outlived her too! Both were listed as being from Moneycross on their marriage cert. Her father is Joseph Barker, and there is a Joseph Barker born near Tinahely, Co. Wicklow, and died at Leskinfere, Wexford, that I'm pretty sure is he. Witnesses at their marriage were John Henry and Margaret Warren. I have a Mgt Warren who married a Benjamin Barker but I'm not sure it's the same one. The Mary Doxey I have that married a Joseph Barker, had a father called Samuel Doxey, so I think it likely she is the mother of my Anne Barker, since Anne called her second son Richard Samuel Docksey Webster. Too much information?? Or did I leave anything out? ;-) Hilda On Mar 10, 2010, at 1:00, irl-wexford-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Anne Barker (HildaNic@aol.com) > 2.
