Thanks Joan I had actually just thought of that the day before your email and also agree due to census being In April that Michael would have been 2. So 50/50 chance one of them is correct. I am amazed that on one form the father Thomas is listed as 72 !Quite a ripe old age to be fathering a child and also I am assuming he must have been in reasonanle health to have lived at least to this age considering the poverty at the time. As none of Micheals siblings in this family seem to have names that were handed down to the next generation I am leaning more towards the other Michael. Also the fact that this second Michael appears to come from a less educated family which would tie in better with the family history that I am aware of.
