Hi all, I was thinking that your "Scar." Was in fact a reference to the Barony of Scarawalsh. However I don't think that Castletown or Gorey is (or was ever) in that Barony. Thank you to Douglas, Eileen O'L, John G.K. , Julie D, and of course Cara Y'all have given me lots to think about and figure out location wise, so once I have plotted this out, I will get back to further explore my ancestry with the Sinnott's and Carty, Connor and Kincade links >From previous exchanges I knew that Gorey/Castletown were up in the northern end of Co. Wexford and not far from Arklow in Co. Wicklow were some of my ancestors actually lived for awhile as shown in their birth and marriage docs. I also have found in records that there were maybe 2 or 3 other Castletowns on the County ???, but feel strongly that my Sinnott's were from the Gorey area.
