I'm wondering what anyone knows about the Ellen Nolan / Nowlan listed here. The one I am searching for may be from Templeshambo in County Wexford. Thank you. Kathleen, I have information on this Shudall line from 1795 to 1874 (as well as other Shudall lines). They were primarily in the Bannow area and primarily Church of Ireland. The name Ellen was very very common in Co. Wexford and the name Nolan reasonably common, e.g. an IGI search of Co. Wexford brings up 615 Nolans. So I don't imagine your Ellen Nowlan is from this line. If you think otherwise please feel free to contact me. If you have information other than a (married?) name and possible location I'd advise you put it on this list in case it ties in with someone else. Eileen, Thank you for your reply. I think "my" Ellen (or Mary Jane/Mary Ellen) Nolan/Nowlan married Michael Corcoran. I think Ellen was from Ballycrystal, Templeshambo....but my information is very sketchy. I'm told her parents may have been Nicholas Nolan/Nowlan and Bridget O'Neill. I don't know the Shudall name and am not sure where the Bannow area is in relation to Templeshambo. I do send queries out periodically, but my relatives seem elusive because I rarely hear anything.
