    1. [IRL-WEXFORD] Roll call DOYLE and DOYLE/KEHOE
    2. I want to establish the townlands for my great great grandparents; Peter Doyle and Johannah Doyle. One complication is that they both had the surname Doyle. Johannah's tombstone says she was a native of Ferns Parish. The parents of either Peter Doyle or Johannah Doyle (Laurence Doyle and Mary Kehoe) came to the Chatham, Ontario, Canada area about 1830-1840. The children of Peter and Johannah Doyle baptized at St. Aidan's, Enniscorthy were: Ann b July 1839, sponsors James Doyle & Mary Doyle Mary b June 1840, sponsors Thomas Doyle, Anne Cogley James b Dec 1842 , sponsors John Wood and Mary Kelly Laurence, b March 1845 sponsorsMartin Tobin, Catherine Furlong Ann, b Feb 1847, sponsors Joseph Shanaghan? Catherine Klegan? Comparing the sponsors names with the surnames of persons listed in Griffith's Valuation made it likely that the townland was Templeshannon, but that it not certain. The next child, born in Chatham, Ontario, Canadain 1953, was Barthlomew W. Doyle, my great great grandfather, Shortly after his birth the family moved to New Dublin, Ill where a Bartholomew Doyle had settled about 1839. He also came through Canada and was likely related to either Peter or Johannah. Peter and Johannah's sons Owen P. and John were born in Illinois. I would appreciate any suggestions on determining whether Peter or Johannah were the child of Laurence Doyle and Mary Kehoe.
