I am researching the Michael BRADY Family from Wexford county. Information that I have is that Michael Brady was born about 1823 in Wexford County, Ireland. He immigrated to Sandusky County, Ohio in 1850 or 1851. He arrived in the United States at Newport, Rhode Island on April 23, 1851. He later married Ellen CONNERS in the United States on January 29, 1858. I am looking for help to find out where Michael BRADY lived in Wexford County. Would like to be able to travel to Ireland and see area where BRADY family would have lived. I would welcome any suggestions for how to find out the location of this BRADY family in Wexford county. Hi Steve, I too, have family who originated in County Wexford and immigrated to Sandusky, Ohio in the 1850s or so. My connection was Ellen Cooper nee Heath, who traveled with her daughters (though I'm not sure if she really was due to her age, or was a daughter in law) Lizzie Cooper and a Jane Cooper. I believe Ellen was married to a physician named Cooper in Enniscorthy and widowed before she immigrated. Her husband does not show on the ship manifest. We have a Connor connection too, but that was more in Co. Kildare. I've made the journey you speak of twice now, to visit my family's stomping grounds. I know I'll make many more in my lifetime.
