    1. [IRL-WEXFORD] Thomas Webster of Moneycross
    2. Hi again Cara, I obviously got side tracked with my Thomas Websters! May I return to this again? Doxey is a documented name in Ireland - not in Wexford, but in the Laoise area, and I know who Mary Doxey's parents and grandparents were. It is not she I'm searching at all. My Thomas Webster was born in 1790 and married 1st Elizabeth Webster in 1806. They were married for almost 50 years. His father was Richard Webster. They lived at Moneycross Upper, near Gorey. I know they had lots of children, and I have 2 of his daughters marriages in Wexford, but most of his family, including lots of sons, emigrated to Canada apparently. I would dearly love to make contact with any of their descendants. There is another relative in Canada also searching, but it is very hard when as you say, there were so many Thomas Websters in that area at that time. When you say Cara, that you have his marriage in 1857 to Anne Barker - that is his second marriage. And they had 5 children total, including Robert. But it is his FIRST marriage that I am trying to trace back. Anyone have any of his children is their trees? Many thanks. I thoroughly enjoy reading everyone's posts, even when they have nothing to do with what I'm researching. Does this make me a Genealogical Junkie? :-) Hilda Hilda Could I suggest the ladies name may be Dixy not Doxey and I have this lass married in Thomas Webster in 1857 but only with one child Robert in my Wexford file. Having never crossed the name Doxey in Ireland is why I am suggesting this. DO you know who Thomas Webster was married to the first time and were there any children to that marriage? Because i have another Thomas Webster and Jane Brenan was but his marriage was later than 1857 But as there are several Thomas Webster's in this area marrying in or around the same time one must think that they were all cousins with the same name ............in fact when I count them up there is 11 Thomas Websters to be sorte out this is worse than the SMiths and Jones in Tasmania Cheers for now Cara
