Sharon, I don't have any information regarding Morgan's Hill but I do know that Flahertys of Wexford appear to have been located predominately in Nemestown, Kilmore. That was the only place where they were mentioned in the Griffith Valuation (John, Sylvester & Thomas) and that much the same picture held good in the 1901 census. In that census two of the three Flaherty families listed were in Nemestown. The first was Edward (60) and Bridget (57) and their two children, Edward was a harbour Master. The other family was John (57) and Anne (56) and their five children. John was a mariner. No sign of any Morgans there. Tony O'Grady. I am also researching a Mary Flaherty, Roman Catholic, and believe she was born in 1834 or 1835. Don't know where Mary came from. She married Maurice Nolan of County Kerry and had a farm in Kilmoyly/Ardfert. They probably married between 1855-1858. They had eleven children: Children of Maurice Nolan (1823-1877) and Mary Flaherty (1834-1903) 1.Charles (@1858-d. 5/1920) married Hannah McCormack (don't know when) Children of Charles & Hannah: Bridget, Michael, Maurice, Thomas) 2.Michael (20 Sep 1860- 3.Brigid (18 Jun 1862- 4.Thomas F.(12 May 1864 - 2 Feb 1912) 5.John F. (1 Feb 1866-? maybe after 1930) married Julia A - son: Charles Emmet 6.Patrick (3 Mar 1868- married Elizabeth? 2 children: Mary (@1890 or 91) and Catherine (@1893 or 94) Patrick emigrated 1884; Elizabeth emigrated in 1883) - that is, if I've found the right family in New York...otherwise maybe Patrick stayed in IRE 7.Eugene (1 Nov 1870- and twin 8.Julia (1 Nov 1870- 1878) 9.Maurice (1872-1940) 10.Mary (1875-1950) - my grandmother married John P. Nolan 1898 in CA) 3 children: John 1899; Viola 1901-1968), Catherine, my mother (1910 - 1975) 11.Margarita/ Margaret (1877- I'd appreciate any help on Mary Flaherty (b.1834, d. February, 1903) Would love to find any information about her parents, siblings, where she came from, etc. Thank you.
